Appendix C

Time data in CallWeb

There are two types of time data in CallWeb:

  • timestamps related to the questionnaires (questionnaire initiation time and prepopulation time); these are stored in server time, that is, the time returned by the server, within its time zone;
  • timestamps related to interviews (call time and appointment time); these are stored in GMT time so that the current time for the respondent can be calculated easily, but they are displayed in server time, and so that multiple CallWeb servers located in different time zones can collaborate on a single project.
